We would like to thank you for your past support, and encourage you to renew or begin your membership in our program.

The revenue generated from the annual membership drive is a crucial component for maintaining our operations: unfortunately last year only 25% of eligible residents became members.  This year it is our hope that we can increase the participation rate and ask you to step forward to help.  Your participation and support is vital if the citizens of West Mifflin and Whitaker are to retain this essential public service.

As you are probably aware, changes in Medicare have resulted in higher co-pays and deductibles and decreased benefit payments to recipients.  Most commercial insurance companies do not pay ambulance coverage 100%, and non-members are responsible for the full payment of all applicable fees related to any emergency ambulance services.  That is why becoming a member could potentially save you hundreds of dollars annually.

We want to stress that this is NOT an insurance policy; we will bill your insurance carrier for services provided; however, as a member, you will be responsible for any deductibles or co-pays.  Acceptance of insurance reimbursements provides us with essential funds to maintain and improve vital services for the community.  While we are happy to bill claims on your behalf, you are required to immediately forward any and all reimbursements to Prism Health Services.

• A Family Membership is $55.00, and provides security for any family member residing in your household.  Your membership extends to family or friends that may be visiting your residence for any emergency service while there, and a substantial discount will be applied to any non-emergency or treatment at the scene without transport.

• An Individual Membership is $35.00, and covers only the individual named on the membership application.  It does not extend to your spouse or other family members residing in your home.

We realize that the current economic conditions are difficult for many residents, that is why Prism Health Services has made the decision not to raise the rates for our members this year.
